Ada Twist, Scientist has become the fastest selling picture book of this year. Abrams Books for Young Readers ordered a first printing of 250,000 copies and now, the publishing house is going back to print 100,000 new copies.

This is a really great series, and I am thrilled to see the latest installment doing so well.


“We feel very strongly about diversity in publishing. For me it is a real problem when we don’t reflect the society we live in. It’s not good for books, or culture, or commercially. We are going to become irrelevant,” said Weldon. “We know we have a real issue, and we have been slow. We have to address it.”
