A Bookstore is Giving Away a Lifetime Supply of Books: Today in Critical Linking

Critical Linking is sponsored today by Target Churchill by Warren Adler:

Launched on Friday by independent London bookshop Heywood Hill to mark its 80th anniversary, the Library of a Lifetime award will give its winner “one newly published and hand-picked hardback book per month, for life, delivered anywhere in the world.”

This is, by far, the coolest book-related giveaway I have ever seen.

Gloria Naylor, a writer known for illuminating the stories of Black women, died of a heart attack on September 28 in the Virgin Islands, her sister, Bernice Harrison, confirmed to EBONY.

Mama Day. Women of Brewster Place. Gloria Naylor was a master.

Roy’s publisher, Penguin imprint Hamish Hamilton, announced today that the new novel, entitled The Ministry of Utmost Happiness, will be published next year.

I honestly didn’t think we’d get another Arundhati Roy novel. Thrilled to be wrong.

We are continuing our celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone with a giveaway of five copies of the beautiful illustration edition. Go here to enter, or just click on the illustration from the book below!
