Coming Soon: The #RiotRead Freestyle Book Club
Today is Book Riot’s fifth birthday! As we’ve prepared to celebrate all the awesomeness the last five years have brought–mainly our connections to you, dear readers–we’ve been reflecting on the projects that succeeded, the ones that failed, and the ones we want to take another crack at.
Hanging out with you all over the internet, just talking about books and reading, is pretty much our favorite thing, so we’re bringing the #RiotRead book club back in a new form.
We’ll announce the first selection on Friday, 10/14. You get ahold of it however makes you happy–download it to your Kindle, check it out from the library, borrow it from a friend, or discover it in our latest Book Mail box. That’s right, one of the books in the September Book Mail box is also our inaugural #RiotRead pick.
As you read, post about the book (using the #RiotRead hashtag when relevant) wherever you hang out online – Twitter, Goodreads, Instagram, Tumblr, Litsy, your own blog, wherever. We’ll be there to talk back, and we hope you’ll meet new Riot reader friends along the way too.
The first pick will run 10/14-11/14, and we’ll be talking about it here on the site, across our social media accounts, in some of our newsletters, and on the Book Riot Podcast. Stay tuned!
