Liberty Hardy is an unrepentant velocireader, writer, bitey mad lady, and tattoo canvas. Turn-ons include books, books and books. Her favorite exclamation is “Holy cats!” Liberty reads more than should be legal, sleeps very little, frequently writes on her belly with Sharpie markers, and when she dies, she’s leaving her body to library science. Until then, she lives with her three cats, Millay, Farrokh, and Zevon, in Maine. She is also right behind you. Just kidding! She’s too busy reading. Twitter: @MissLiberty

Daniel Sullivan leads a very complicated existence. He lives with his reclusive actress wife and their children in Ireland, but he’s about to return home to America for his estranged father’s ninetieth birthday, where his estranged children from a former marriage also live. And if this wasn’t stressing him out enough, he just received news about someone very important from is life twenty years ago. What’s a guy to do? O’Farrell is wonderfully ambitious and writes about family and relationships in such an interesting and heart-wrenching way. This is a touching, original story – narrated by many of the characters – about love, marriage, second chances, and the past.
