I’m not a writer, but from what I’ve seen of the business this list of 24 Things No One Tells You About Book Publishing feels true.


To allay the fears of Game of Thrones fans who had started to doubt that winter really was coming, George R. R. Martin has posted a new excerpt from The Winds of Winter on his website.

Also sort of feels like this might be a sign that Martin might feel the franchise slipping away from him, as the show now has transcended and extended what the books are at this point.


The names of the four Ilvermorny houses are: Horned Serpent, Wampus, Thunderbird and Pukwudgie.

Pottermore’s source code does not offer additional details about each house, but quick Google searches reveal that each of these names refers to a creature from folklore or mythology.

Is it just me or are these names…..not great.
