This post originally appeared on Panels, which is now Book Riot Comics

Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.

“I’m Latino. I’m Hispanic. And they’re different, so I drew a comic to explain.”

Do you know the difference between Latino and Hispanic? This minicomic is excellent.

“Citing “numerous threats of violence” the SXSW planning team has annulled “Level Up: Overcoming Harassment in Games” at next March’s event according to an email sent to panelists that was obtained by Jezebel.”

Not strictly comics related, but this is the actual worst, canceling a panel on harassment because of harassment.

“Introducing younger comic readers to the horror medium can be a difficult process. You don’t want to traumatize them, on one hand, by reading aloud from the latest issue of Nailbiter. But still, it’s hard to resist the urge to bring younger readers into the spooky fold once autumn comes around.”

This is a great list.
