Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.

“BUT [Jessica Jones] is faithful and lively and everything that I could personally have wanted from the show.”

I loved Alias and I am so looking forward to Jessica Jones, so I’m really glad to hear Bendis feels this way about the series.

“Artist Tom Moore, who gave life to the teen angst of Archie and his Riverdale pals from 1953 to the late 1980s, has died of lung cancer in El Paso.”

Sad news. R.I.P, Tom Moore.

“He’s still creating comics that are challenging and unconventional, but instead of tales about spies and Marvel superheroes, he’s doing indie work about race, class, and torture.”

This profile of/interview with Ales Kot is interesting, though I hope he’s not going to become the spokesperson for diversity in comics. I have mixed feelings about this interview, honestly.
