The Pop-Up Reading Room

The Uni Project is a simple idea: bring places for books and reading into the streets, parks, and plazas of New York City. Funded by a Kickstarter Campaign, the project’s mission is to make learning accessible by bringing pop-up reading spaces into places where people gather.

Simple, circular, portable shelves and stackable seating make the Uni easy to move and place. And by partnering with local community groups and organizations to supply and curate the books for each particular installation, the Uni is never exactly the same experience.

If you want to host a Uni, you can do that (and you can support the project too).

Now how cool is that?
