Shanghai architects Archi-Union have constructed this ultra-modern tea house and library in the back of their studio, made from salvaged supplies from their warehouse’s collapsed roofing. While the concrete walls and floors don’t exactly scream “take a load off and read” to me, the space is undeniably beautiful (and you can’t beat that kind of natural light).
The space is mostly concrete and glass, though the industrial feel is slightly lessened by the charming hole in the second-floor balcony made to accommodate a tree that was already in the yard:
