Mouth-Watering Book Nooks

After recently moving into a house and taking the time to deliberately decide where my books will go, I’ve realized the possibilities are endless (and time consuming). I needed some inspiration, so I took to the Internet. It was a mouth-watering experience, and I thought it only fair to share with fellow book lovers. Most of these are not possible for me unless I want to do some serious (yet awesome) construction – but a girl can dream, right?

I like to pretend that these ladder-stairs lead to a loft library. Soft cozy reading corners, just enough light to read properly, a tea caddy that can be pulled up from the kitchen… you with me?

This one is actually doable. The only problem would be the getting out of bed. Think it would ever happen if this is what your bedroom was like? Maybe once I made my way through the books on the shelves I’d be tempted to get up and change them out (or maybe just start all over again re-reading them).

Hello, lover. First, I’m going to pretend that the animal head in the other room is fake, and then I’m going to spend hours pouring over the books on the shelves. I’m dying to know which ones made it to the top tiny shelf, and I’m trying to think of which ones I’d put up there… probably my oldest and rarest; to keep them safe from prying hands and sticky fingers.

This nook has summer written all over it. Iced tea, that chair, and those books? I’m all set. I’m not a big sun-bather so I’d rather find a sunny reading spot with big open windows and lots of light for lazy summer days. Now I just need to build some stairs so I can include the bookshelves along the back.

If all else fails and I can’t decide on any particular room to make the “library” I can always line the walls with this wallpaper and walk around my house with a giant perma-smile on my face.
