Bookish Wedding :: The Pictures

Now that we’ve sent out the invitations, and decorated for the ceremony and reception, it’s time to proof those fantastic photos you took! Good thing you used our guide on pictures to help inspire some fabulous ones that could go into the Book Geekery Hall of Fame (which, by the way, is a top honor). And great thing you decided to start the bookish whimsy with your engagement photos and not wait until your wedding for the bookish goodness.

ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

Don’t let your guests be late for a very important date… take a tip from this creative couple and send them a gorgeous (and FUN) Save the Date that they won’t forget! (via Green Wedding Shoes)

Want to be more relaxed, but still want to get the bookish message across? Grab some vintage titles from a second-hand store and incorporate them in your shoot. Best to dress (or set the scene) with colors that match your vintage lovelies to really tie in the theme. (via Bella Grace Studios)

Are you lucky enough to live near a cleverly designed library? (The following photo is at the Kansas City Public Library — say hello to a bookworm’s fantasy.) If so, take the opportunity to utilize this public domain for your bookish photo craftiness! (Pssst… this is BookRiot’s very own Rebecca Joines Schinsky, who actually held her ceremony inside the library! Photo via Kelly Walker Chance)

The outside of your library not living up to your bookish dream? Try some inside. Follow in the footsteps of these high school sweethearts who went back to the library in their hometown to take their photos. Hint: click through to the website and see the seriously cool animated photos they took! (via Sweet Little Photographs)

Take a note from this stylish couple by making your shoot a little DIY. Cut out a favorite quote or romantic saying onto a thick cardboard or card stock, stick it in some books, surround yourself with some of your favorite things (ahem, books and your fiancé) and you’re set for a creative (and pretty) photo! WEDDING PHOTOS

This lovely couple was photographed at the Library Hotel in New York City. Choosing two books that fit in perfectly with the wedding theme, they got creative and a little romantic. (via 100 Layer Cake )

Even something as simple as posing in front of a bookshelf will do the trick for a bookish photo. The new fad: day after photos. Have your photographer trail you to your favorite bookstore and take a couple of casual snaps there! Jamie Delaine Photography

 Or just bring a beautiful book to the ceremony and have the photographer snap you while stealing a quick kiss. (via The Offbeat Bride)

You don’t have to model your wedding after a certain title (does anyone do Gone With the Wind weddings anymore?) You’ll have more flexibility if you choose a favorite genre and get creative with it… Steampunk wedding anyone? (via The Offbeat Bride)

Don’t have a favorite genre that you want to rock? Choose a favorite author to get inspired by instead! Check out this Edgar Allen Poe themed wedding — I guarantee no one will be forgetting this wedding any time soon! (via Rock N’ Roll Bride)

And they all lived…
